9. The story of a witch
This is the story of a witch
With snow-white skin and deep dark eyes
Had she that sight the witching might
Hair as black as the raven
She was the mother to the child
Who's father was not alive
Rumors said the devil came to visit
Lust for her were felt by men so many
Pointed out amongst other she cried
But no one came to help
Priest paid witchfinder pointed finger
As was taken away from the church
Witchfinder come free us from disease he said
and gave generously of the village money
In the name of God he had that right
When he pointed out the priests wife
She said yes to all their accusations
And was sentenced to die by fire
Truth was found by tourturing her insane
Died together with a black cat on a pole
This is a story of a witch
With snow-white skin and deep dark eyes
Had she that sight the witching might
Hair as black as the raven
